We’re looking for Life Science graduates in a wide range of careers, or doing PhDs, to be interviewed to inspire pupils to take Life Science degrees. Liz Granger, one of our current PhDs, is coordinating this in Manchester, so I’ll hand over to her:
“Would you like to help inspire a new generation of students?
The Biochemical Society is putting together a workshop to encourage school children from disadvantaged backgrounds to consider university and future careers.
As part of this we are filming some very short interviews with graduates that have degrees in Life Sciences. The idea is to give the children an idea of the careers that are out there and make them ‘real’ by showing real people with these careers.
If you’re in the Manchester area and have a degree related to biology we’d love to interview you! The interviews will take no more than 5 minutes of your time and they will be filmed in the second week of January during the evenings. We will be filming in Manchester city centre or the University of Manchester and there will be free drinks and food.
If you’d like to be involved or would like any further information, please contact Liz Granger using the form below”
