MMU are organising a Careers Fair in partnership with Pro Manchester, an organisation representing the financial and professional services sector in and around Manchester – and you’re invited. (We’re all good friends in Manchester – they come to our fairs, we go to theirs.)
It’s officially called a “Placement Fair and Career Development Day” but it will cover placements, internships and graduate jobs (and vacation work – but I know you don’t get those!) and is open to students, graduates and postgraduates.
Not sure if it’s just about Manchester based jobs, but some of the employers have bases both in Manchester and out in “the regions” (London, Birmingham etc) so presumably they will be able to talk about both. As it’s sponsored by Pro Manchester, it will be of particular interest to those studying (or with experience in) marketing, business, accounting & finance, IT, law, media, advertising or PR.
Employers down to attend include IBM, Ernst & Young, Bank of New York, Royal Bank of Scotland, Norwich Union (Aviva), Barclays, HSBC, Cobbetts, Pannone, Kellogg’s, WWB Recruitment, DWF LLP, Grant Thornton, Pinsent Mason, MC2, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Fujitsu and more – another indication that good graduates and postgraduates are still in demand with some employers.
