Another short notice event – this time aimed at any postgrad (or undergrad) who wants to know about environmental careers in the energy industry.
On Monday 1st December, from 1-2pm in Mansfield Cooper Building, Room G.20, one of our former PhD researchers, Richard Pawson, will be returning to talk about his experience of working for BP. As Richard only recently left the university to head off to industry, he will be able to share his first hand experience of job hunting, applications and going through selection as a postgraduate aiming to work in a major global corporation – and what happens once you’ve jumped over all the hurdles and started working for them.
The event is aimed primarily at students in SED and SEAES but if you’re interested in hearing about technical/environmental jobs in BP generally, I’m sure Richard will make you welcome. I’ll also be on hand to highlight what the careers service can do for you, but it’s really Richard’s show, so come along prepared to ask him lots of questions.
