[Update 16/4/08 : Talk was so oversubscribed today we decamped to a larger lecture theatre! However, if you missed it, we’re aiming to have the slides, supporting written material, and (hopefully) a video of the session available on our website v. soon. Will link here when that happens.
Update 23/4/08 – for resources, see post for 23/4/08]
Original post :
Quick update – there’s a talk tomorrow (Wednesday 16th April) for all those considering applying for medicine after another degree (officially entitled “Studying Medicine as a 2nd Degree” – but we also mean as a 3rd or 4th degree!) – 1.00-3.00pm, Stopford Building, Lecture Theatre 5. Just turn up – no sign ups needed.
In addition to up-to-date careers information from our specialist adviser for medicine, we’ve also got admissions staff from the University of Manchester Medical School on hand to answer your questions. Even if you’re intending applying to another Medical School, this is a great opportunity to get to hear how schools deal with applicants and figure out how you can make your application stand out.
If you’re considering re-training as a doctor, applications have to be in by 15th October, so now is an ideal time to see what you need to do before diving back into the world of UCAS forms and work experience (doesn’t that take you back, eh?)
(Note: Also see previous post about options for postgrads wanting to enter medicine)
